TESTIMONIALS

Home-made dog treats are a great way to treat your dog.  You know what has gone into them, ingredients are all fresh, and they are far cheaper than shop bought ones.  Even more importantly they are probably even tastier than those expensive packaged treats and biscuits.

If you have any recipes you would like to see added here please email them to sam.

Liver cake

There are many ways to make this and every time I make it I do it differently depending on what I have in the kitchen at the time.

Basic Recipe:

Pack of Liver (pref Lambs but any will do)

Self-raising flour

two teaspoons baking powder

three cloves of garlic

Three eggs

Water

Dried herbs - teaspoon

Instructions

Preheat oven to about 200 degrees centigrade

Cut up the liver into chunks and peel the garlic.

Put liver, garlic, eggs, baking powder and herbs into a food processor and whizz them up until smooth.  Add the flour until you have a medium to thick cake mixture consistency, adding water of it gets too thick.

Pour into a loaf tin or any other cake tin you have and bake for about 30 minutes until it is firm in the middle

Turn out onto a cooling rack

When cool cut into slices.

Will keep for 3 days in a fridge or for a couple of months if frozen.
