The Pet People has arrived to help pet owners in Henley, Twyford, Wargrave and surrounding areas. We specialise in Dog Walking, Dog and Puppy Training, Dog behaviour problems and pre-puppy advice.

 

The Pet People is run by Sam Williams who lives in Wargrave.

"I am an experienced dog owner and qualified dog trainer.  I have had expereince of living with many breeds of dogs, a cocker spaniel, 2 springer spaniels, a German Shepherd, a greyhound, Saluki and a Lhasa Apso.  In 2001 I qualified as a dog trainer and successfully ran puppy and dog training classes in North Yorkshire (www.puppyschool.co.uk).  I was also working full time as a psychologist and quickly saw the links between human and dog psychology.  This led me to study dog behaviour and start helping people with their dog problems.

In 2007 I was made redundant and moved south to Wargrave where I decided to put my training and experience into good use by starting The Pet People.  When I was working full time and owning two dogs I found out how difficult it was to find caring competent people to help me with my dogs.  Those who were good were already full.  I really want to help people in this area to give their dogs the exercise and care they need and be able to go to work knowing their dogs is not alone all day.

I also run training classes for puppies and offer one to one training for older dogs locally in the very near future.  In the meantime I can offer one to one training and also behaviour advice.  All at very reasonable prices.  All my training and behaviour approaches are kind positive methods  to help your dog understand what you are asking of it and to want to do it for you!

In addition we can help you with your other furry and feathered and friends by visiting and feeding cats and small animals.  If you don't have access to your own transport we operate a pet taxi service to take your pet to the vet or groomer or kennels and then bring them home to you. We can also help whilst you are away by opening/closing curtains, picking up papers and post and even restocking your fridge for your return.  We can pick up and deliver bulky pet food supplies.

I am a qualified Puppy and Dog trainer, I am police checked and fully insured.  Your dog will be collected in a specially customised van with secure cages to ensure their safety whilst on the road.
